Market Description - The environmental technology and bioenergy sector in Brazil
This market description is prepared in connection to the implementation of the Agro Business Park project No. 20801: “Network for biomass to energy ”, which is co-financed from the European Union Regional Development Fund and the Nordic Council of Ministers, and under taken by Agro Business Park in cooperation with Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (DJF) , Aarhus University, Institute for Agri Technology and Food Innovation (AgroTech A/S), Faculty of Life Sciences (KU Life) , Copenhagen University, and Risø DTU, National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark.
The information in this repor t is mainly compiled in February 2011 in connection with a study visit to Brazil from 20 to 28 February.
The market description is in no way pretending to provide any complete description of the environmental technology and bioenergy sector in Brazil , nor is its content based on a scientific approach. The aim of the market de script ion is alone to share some immediate information and impressions about the market in the Brazil with partners of Agro Business Park and the Innovation Network for Biomass, in the hope that it can be a catalyst for increased cooperation with Brazil , whether donor based
or commercial.
Brazil has been selected as markets of major interest in connection to environmental technology and bioenergy. This report follows similar market descriptions for Spain, China, Poland, and Baltic States and is number five in a series of market descriptions.
